Sulven was a challenge I had to do after watching the film "Edie".....ended up being a much tougher hike (especially the 6 mile walk back out) than I thought.....many thanks... read more to "Pete" of Mckenzie Mountaineering who not only got me up there but safely back to base despite my cramping legs.
Don't take the trip lightly, Sulven is one "lump" of a mountain....but when accomplished it was so satisfying.

We completed the West Highland way as part of a guided tour over seven days (in mid-May). It couldn’t have been a better experience, despite challenging weather at times. Any... read more fears we might have had about being unable to complete the walk gently melted away as we progressed northwards from Milngavie, carefully nursed along at a sustainable pace. We were a group of around ten very different people, but that created a unique and entirely positive chemistry, and we have probably made some new life-long friends. Our baggage was transported each day to excellent B&B accommodation along the way, and we ate and drank with enthusiasm at some excellent hostelries along the route as well as having an outstanding barbecue half way along the Way. The landscape was absolutely stunning - more bluebells than I have ever seen, and I ran out of space on my mobile phone because I took too many photos. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

We did the West Highland Way (150 km over 7 days). I have wanted to this walk for about 30 years, so it’s a lot of expectations to live up... read more to. I’m so happy to say, therefore, that this walk exceeded expectations, which is because of our wonderful guides Ben and Rosie.
They are both so warm and friendly and somehow managed to get all the clients effortlessly get to know each other without it feeling forced. Apart from turning up every morning ready to walk, we didn’t have to worry about anything, because it was all taken care of behind the scenes. We did the walk in May, and it was unseasonably wet, but it didn’t dampen our enjoyment at all.
